About me
A college placement at a light bulb factory running BPCS on a System/38 kick started my career in 1988. An ATS course or two later and my love of the platform was confirmed! I continued working in FMCG manufacturing through the 90s while ILE, CISC to RISC and other platform advancements saw me participate in software management and infrastructure change projects as much as ERP application design and development. I developed a keen interest in version change management tooling, application environment management and security during this time.
In 2000 I joined Thenon where internally I worked with colleagues on feature design, technical documentation and testing. Externally I worked on technical pre-sales, implementations, upgrades and training.
In 2009 I joined Allianz where I have undertaken many roles from environment management through to platform management. Most recently I have been focusing on the evolution of a DevOps CI/CD pipeline for IBM i.
